About The Program

The In-Town Referee Program is designed to introduce young referees to the game in a supportive, well-structured environment.

Players in Grades 7 and 8 officiate 2nd and 3rd grade games on Saturday mornings at the Sprague Fields Complex.

Two referees are assigned to each game, with assignments and pay based on grade level:

  • Grade 7 → Referee 2nd grade games ($20/game)
  • Grade 8 → Referee 3rd grade games ($25/game)

Referees receive an additional $10 if the second assigned referee does not arrive for the game.

Referees receive training and ongoing support throughout the season. This program also prepares players to become certified referees once they turn 14 years old.
