Program Overview

Wellesley Premier Club (WPC) is our advanced club program for players born 2011-2017.

It features professional coaching, competitive games, and tournaments against regional club teams in the New England Club Soccer League (NECSL).

The program is a full-year commitment, with the season spanning both the the Fall and Spring and additional training in the Winter.

Teams are organized by age and skill. Tryouts are held each May to select players for the following season.

Players who live in Wellesley or attend Wellesley schools are eligible to participate. All WPC players must also play for Wellesley's In-Town or BAYS (Travel) programs.

The program emphasizes player development and a strong commitment to training in a professional environment.

Players are expected to participate fully in all WPC practices and games each week, in addition to their town team commitments.

Volunteer Team Manager

Each Wellesley Premier Club (WPC) team has a volunteer Team Manager who plays a key role in supporting the team’s organization and communication.

Team Managers serve as the primary link between coaches, parents, and opposing teams — helping ensure each season runs smoothly.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an up-to-date team contact list (emails and phone numbers)
  • Sharing schedule changes and updates with families
  • Tracking player availability for practices and games in TeamSnap
  • Confirming game details (time, location, opponent) and communicating them to families
  • Acting as the main point of contact with opposing team managers
  • Supporting positive communication between parents and coaches
  • Helping uphold the “24-hour rule” for game- or coaching-related concerns

Team Managers focus on communication and coordination only — coaches handle all player, lineup, and gameplay decisions.

If you’re interested in becoming a Team Manager, please contact Lewis Wright.
