2026 Wellesley Memorial Day Tournament

The tournament is open exclusively to 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls teams competing at the U8, U9, and U10 levels. Teams must consist of players who are officially registered with their town’s league program. Applications from town-based, all-star, and club teams are accepted, pending review and approval by the event directors.

This is a sanctioned 7v7 event held under the auspices of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). All matches are played in Wellesley, Massachusetts — located just 20 minutes west of Boston — on high-quality grass and turf fields at the Sprague Fields Complex and nearby locations, as needed.

Each team is guaranteed four (4) games, each lasting 50 minutes (two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime). In keeping with MYSA’s non-results-oriented philosophy for U9 play, standings are not kept — the emphasis is on sportsmanship, skill development, and fun.

Teams are placed into pools of similar competitive level to ensure a balanced and positive playing experience for all.

Each team must have at least two responsible adults on the sideline during every game.
