Coaching At WUSC

Volunteering as a coach is one of the most meaningful ways to support your child’s soccer experience and contribute to our community. WUSC relies on parent volunteers to coach in two of our core programs during the Fall and Spring seasons.

What It Means To Coach At WUSC

Each Fall and Spring, WUSC relies on hundreds of volunteer parent coaches to help create a positive, development-focused soccer experience for more than 1,600 players in our In-Town and BAYS (Travel) programs.

Coaches lead practices and games, communicate with families, and support players’ learning and enjoyment—but they’re never on their own. Every coach receives guidance from Program Directors, Age Group Coordinators (AGCs), and our professional coaching staff.

Why Coach at WUSC?

Coaching at WUSC is open to everyone—no soccer background needed. What matters most is enthusiasm, dependability, and a commitment to creating a positive environment for young players.

All WUSC coaches receive:

  • Pre-season coaches meeting covers everything you need to know
  • Weekly printable practice plans
  • Team equipment kit (ball, goalie gear, cones, pinnies)
  • Coaches t-shirt
  • Easy-to-use TeamSnap app for schedule and communication
  • Coaching license reimbursement

Coaching Requirements

Before coaching each season, all new and returning coaches must complete an annual Mass Youth Soccer Adult Registration, required background checks, and two mandatory safety training courses.

Coaches are encouraged to complete these requirements early to ensure timely clearance and team assignment.
